Jahurul gives credit to Pollard for thrilling victory

Dhaka Dynamities have clinched a miraculous victory against Khulna Titans in the first match of the day. Chasing 157 runs, they were 24/4 at one stage and it looked like the game has gone away from their hands.

But then Kieron Pollard played a tremendous knock of 55 off just 24 balls and changed the game completely. Though Jahurul finished the match, he gave the credit to Pollard for changing the momentum of the game.

“The main work was done by Pollard. Run-rate was 14.5 at that time. It was very difficult for us. Pollard’s innings brought us this far. Then me and Mosaddek decided that we will stay at the crease till the end.”

He added: “For the first time, we were in pressure. We were 24/4 when I came to the crease. It was a great chances for cricketers like us to play till the end.”

Though Jahurul finished the match successfully, he was struggling to play shots and when they needed 6 runs in the last over, Jahurul missed the first two balls, but in the end a boundary made them through.

He said: “The way Brathwaite was bowling yorkers, it would have been difficult for me to steal a boundary at mid off or mid on. I had to something different. I am very happy that it worked.”
