Increasing number of foreign cricketers in each franchise team during the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League have left significant number of local cricketers out of opportunity to show their talents but in the midst of all these, Bangladeshi pacers have been ruling and made place in the top ten list of highest wicket takers after the completion of two phases of BPL in Dhaka and Chittagong.
Abu Jayed Rahi of Khulna Titans is standing in the top of the bowler’s list with 12 wickets. Another potential Bangladeshi pacer Abu Hider Rony is jointly in the second position with Pakistan’s Shahid Khan Afridi taking 11 wickets each.
World number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan belongs to the third position with 10 wickets. As the second bowler in BPL, Shakib bagged 5 wickets in an innings.
Two Bangladeshi pacers along with two foreign cricketers all jointly formed the fifth position in the highest wicket taker list.
