Mustafizur Rahman and Mehidy Hasan, both played together in the U-19 World Cup back in 2014. Now both the young players play for the National team and they are also team-mates in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
But their team Rajshahi Kings are not spending a good time in the tournament as they won only 2 matches out of nine and after their defeat today, they have no chance to qualify for the top four.
Mustafizur didn’t play any match in the last BPL due to injury and he was also in doubt for this year’s BPL too after he suffered injury in the South Africa tour. But he became fully fit after two weeks of the start of BPL.
He has already played two matches for Rajshahi in the Chittagong leg. Though he has become fit, but his poor show with the ball is a concern. In his firsh match, he got two wickets against Comilla Victorians but in his next match he conceded 48 runs in 4 overs without getting any wicket.
During the pacer’s bad time, team mate Mehidy Hasan is with Mustafizur. He said in a press conference: “We all know Mustafiz is a top bowler. He just came back from injury. So he can’t perform well all of a sudden.”
He added: “We want him to get back into his rhytm because we have a series in January. Apart from BPL, we have many matches in the national team too.”
