Nepal U-19 stuns India U-19 in Asia Cup

It was just yesterday when Bangladesh U-19 beat Nepal U-19 in a thrilling fashion by 2 wickets. The Asia Cup U-19 tournament just got more interesting as Nepal U-19 have clinched a stunning victory against India U-19 on Sunday. 

Nepal batted first and they were off to a very steady start specially by the opener Jitendra Singh who took 95 balls to score 36 runs. Later on,  Dipendra Singh accelerated the Nepal innings with his knock of 88 runs from 101 balls.

The lower order couldn’t contribute much and Nepal posted 185 runs in their 50 overs. Aditya Thakare and Abishek Sharma both picked up 2 wickets each. 

In reply, both the Indian openers started off well and almost put 100 runs together on the board. But the twist in the tale started to begin right after they both were removed.

After their dismissal, none of the batsmen couldn’t settle and the collapse begin which resulted 19 runs defeat for the men in blue. 

Dipendra’s all round performance was too difficult for India to tackle. After scoring 88 runs, he also took 4 wickets with the ball and became the main star behind Nepal’s win over India.
