Cutter master Mustafizur Rahman returned in action, has played his first match in this season’s Bangladesh Premier League and guided his team towards winning the match against Comilla Victorians. At the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, Rajshahi Kings restricted Comilla Victorians before 30 runs of the winning target.

Little cameo knocks helped Rajshahi Kings to add a significant total on the board. Luke Wright and Darren Sammy both got in near of fifties, missed though ultimately, but the Kings accumulated 185 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs of the game.

Sammy was unbeaten scoring 47 runs and Wright was taken by Saifuddin scoring 42 runs in 36 deliveries with 4 boundaries.

Mominul Haque scored 23 while Zakir Hasan contributed 20. For Comilla Victorians Saifuddin stolen the show making a 3 wicket haul in 4 overs.

Comilla Victorians’ hopes were alive until skipper Tamim Iqbal departed in the 15th over of the game.

The highest knock was performed by the Victorians’ skipper and icon, local cricketer Tamim Iqbal. He made 63 runs out of 45 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Before that, Shoaib Malik blitzed a quick fire knock of 45 runs in 26 deliveries. He hit 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Comilla lost three of their front line batsmen Imrul Kayes, Mohammad Saifuddin and Alok Kapali before opening up their accounts.

Mustafizur Rahman captured the last wicket of Comilla Victorians in the final over, ending with a significant figure of 2 for 32 in 3.1 overs.

Mohammad Sami brought up an outstanding figure. He claimed 4 wickets in his 4 overs giving away just 9 runs.
