Soumya unhappy despite getting back to form

In the recent South Africa tour, Bangladesh had only few positives to take and among them Soumya Sarkar getting back to form is one of them.

After a poor show in the Test and ODI series, Soumya performed well in both the T20I matches. He scored 47 and 44 runs in the first and 2nd T20I respectively.

In the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Soumya is the Icon player of Chittagong Vikings and they are yet to play their opening match.

Though he performed well in the T20I series, the opener isn’t happy with his performance as he couldn’t make it big in both the occasions.

He said: “I don’t want to hold that momentum in BPL. I want to score more runs rather than 30-40. It was different there and the situations might be different here too. I will try to play according to the situations.”

After a long South Africa tour, Soumya also said he want to now start afresh: “We were away from home for 1.5 months. Now we will play at home again. Dew factor will come into play at night, wickets will turn at evening. We are practicing keeping all that in our mind.”
