Vikings attain huge win over SixersSikandar Raza mentored Chittagong Vikings to pile up a huge score against Sylhet Sixers that eventually led the home team to achieve a comprehensive win at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chittagong. In the 26th match of BPL 2017, the Vikings defeated Sylhet Sixers by 40 runs.

The 211 runs made by Chittagong Vikings after batting first was quite unattainable for the Sylhet Sixers despite fighting hard, they were never been close to the target.

Andre Fletcher scored 71 runs and Babar Azam reached 41 in 32 deliveries; Sylhet Sixers fall short of 40 runs from the winning target losing 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs of the game.

Fletcher and Azam partnered for 80 runs in the second wicket after the falling of Danushka Gunathilaka in team score of 43 runs.

Andre Fletcher was disastrous flicking 8 boundaries and 4 over boundaries before Taskin Ahmed had him caught by Raza in 123 runs on the board.

After that, Sylhet Sixers lost flurry of wickets leaving them with no clue to chase the big target.

Taskin Ahmed continued his success run this season’s Bangladesh Premier League, adding 3 more wickets in his tally today.

Stiaan Van Zyl and Soumya Sarkar also bagged 2 wickets each for Chittagong Vikings.

After being sent into bat first, the home team lost 5 wickets on their way to scoring 211 runs.

The innings of the Vikings were surrounded around the innings of Sikandar Raza; the Zimbabwean middle order batsman unfortunately missed what could be a memorable ton just for five runs.

Raza and Van Zyl added 73 runs in fourth wicket and when Nazibullah Zadran joined with unbeaten Raza at one end, Chittagong Vikings crossed 200 run mark.

A win for Chittagong Vikings thrashed Rajshahi Kings in the bottom most position of the point table. With two wins in seven matches, the Vikings are sixth now with 5 points in hands.
