BCB says no to Pakistan

After a horrible incident in Pakistan back in 2009, International cricket has been stopped since then. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is desperate to bring back International cricket at home and have already arranged some series to make it turn into reality. In this year, Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final was held in Pakistan and the Sri Lankan team who were attacked in 2009 has played a T20I series against Pakistan at their home. But still most of the country still finds unsafe to play in Pakistan.

PCB wants to arrange ACC Emerging Cup at their home but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and BCCI have already declined the proprosal. India already has a restriction to play in Pakisan and it was expected from the beginning that India will reject the proposal. According to the Pakistan media, BCB have also said a no to the proposal.

In a press conference, one of the member from the Pakistan board informed that Bangladesh rejected the proposal due to security reasons: “On 29th October, it was decided that Pakistan will host the tournament in the ACC meeting. But none of the members from Bangladesh and India were present.”

He also said that the board will use all its powers and try their best to host the tournament: “We want to host the tournament at any cost. We will try our best to host the Asian Emerging Nations Cup.”

Though India and Bangladesh are against of this decision, the Sri lankan Cricket Board has gave a positive response and they will support Pakistan if the tournament is finalized to get scheduled in Pakistan.
