Bangladesh lost many matches due to lack of support from the tail-enders and failed almost every time when they needed to finish off a match. For this reason, in the ongoing training camp, concentration on the tail-enders for their batting is being given.
On Thursday, it was seen that Khaled Mahmud Sujon sent the bowlers for batting before the start of the actual training session. Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain all were seen batting in the nets.
When asked about this, Sujon who is the technical director for the upcoming series said: “When the skill training begins, the batsmen bats for a long time. The pacers doesn’t get time. In every format, bowlers need to bat too. In the tail, 15-20 runs becomes very important. That’s why I was working with them and told them to bat.”
“I don’t know yet how the team will be, but I am very excited. Everyone is performing. Abu Haider Rony, Abu Jayed Rahi are in a good shape. In case of off-spinners, we have Mehedi, Apu and many more,” when asked what might be the team for the upcoming series. The tri-series between Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will begin on 15th January.
