Bulbul’s son wants to play for his country

Bulbul’s son Mehedi Islam who is now playing cricket in Australia wants to represent his country Bangladesh just like his father.

He is playing for a team named Victoria and for his consistent good performance he has been named in the Australia U-15 squad. In a recent interview with Shomoy TV, Mehedi said: “I play for Victoria. For my consistent performance, I have been called up in Australia’s u-15 squad. In August, World Cup will be held in South Africa. I am eagerly waiting for that.”

Mehedi also said his inspiration is none other than his father: “I learnt batting from my father. He made me learn everything. What mistakes I do, how can I rectify that, he teached me all these things.”

Though Mehedi is playing in Australia right now, his main aim is to play for his country: “My father played for the country. It will make me feel good if I can follow his footsteps.”

On the other hand, when asked Bulbul said about his son: “In Australia, there are more facilities. The coaches work very passionately and also there is more scopes and chances in Australia. I hope Allah will shower his blessings to him.”
