In the middle of ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the discussions about who will take the coaching role of Bangladesh is also coming into question in my occasions.
Though many reports claimed that BCB told they want an Asian coach, on Tuesday it was known that former coach Richad Pybus has shown interest and has reached Dhaka for interview.
Pybis is known as a strict coach. Though he worked for Bangladesh in 2012 but it lasted for only four months due to this reason.
When asked to Khaled Mahmud Sujom about this matter, he said: “Actually we want to bring a coach. We don’t want a very strict coach. But its important to stau disciplined for every team. I think in the last 3 years we were very disciplined. But due to poor performance in the recent time, questions arised about their discipline. But that doesn’t mean Pybus is coming only for this reason.”
He added: “I don’t know Pybus personally. When he was here, I was not here. That’s why it will be not right to say anything. I don’t know why he left and what improvement he made.”
The former Bangladesh all-rounder also said he knows coach Chandika Hathurusingha’s techniques and that’s why he won’t do bad if he gets the coaching role, believes Sujon: “Hathurusingha has a lot of contrubution in Bangladesh’s improvement. If I get the role then it will be easy for me to work with the team because I know many techniques of him (Hathurusingha).”
