McCullum unhappy with BPL umpires

After the end of the match, McCullum expressed his disappointment about the umpiring in the press conference. He said: “I think the umpiring should be good as long as the tournament is progressing. In this kind of wicket, if decisions go against you then you have to give a big value because of it.

When asked if BCB should try to bring more foreign umpires rather than selecting local umpires: “I don’t think it depends on the foreign umpires. The local umpires are also good.”

He added: “I think there will be pressure in the upcoming big matches. You have to think about the quality of the umpires on that time. Many people are watching the matches around the country.  We have to make sure while taking decision if the consistency is good enough.”

After Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal and Sunil Narine, McCullum also joined the team of criticizing the Dhaka wicket: “I think it was a very weak wicket. There are many quality and good cricketers here. Everyone wants to see exciting cricket here. I don’t think they were able to see any kind of match like that today. The wicket have to be good in the upcoming matches.
