When everyone was seen practicing in the field, Sabbir was no where to be seen. After the incident, he is also trying to avoid the media. While he was going home one of the reporter asked what’s the real story, Sabbir in reply said “What story?”  as if he doesn’t know anything.

Then he was told that about the incident with the fan and misconducting with the match referee. Sabbir still denied: “I don’t know anything. Let me discuss first. I can’t say anything now. I will inform you after I talk with them.”

The 26-year old batsman also told another reporter on phone: “The report has been done. i don’t want to talk about this now. I will talk about it later.”

In the ongoing match of NCL’s last round, Sabbir was run-out for a duck. In this match, one of the fan from the gallery was teasing him. Sabbir then took the permission from the umpires of going out from the field for some time. Then he cornered the fan in the back of the gallery and hit him. The match referee also reported this incident to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
