Bangladesh national team new technical director Khaled Mahmud Sujon aims to bring out some good results with the help of bowling department this time as in most occasions batsmen dominate in every success of the country.
He said, “In most of the cases, batsmen won matches for the team. There are some bowling spells as well that led us won matches like the one Mustafizur and Miraz did at once. I’ve talked with them about all these. When there are so many youngsters called for the team, something positive will definitely come out. We also must not forget about experienced cricketers.”
Talking about bowling practice in the primary camp, Khaled Mahmud Sujon said, “When skill training runs, batsmen tend to do batting practice for a long time. Pacers have scarcity of time in nets. I’ve worked with batting done by tale enders because many a time adding 15/20 runs in the tale end works wonder for the team.”
“The team combination will come lately; but now I’m thrilled to have so many youngsters in the team. Abu Hider Rony, Abu Jayed Rahi everyone is performing; off spinner Mehedi and Apu is also there,” he added.
Denying the fact that bowlers failed to perform in away matches in the recent past, the BCB director said, “Who said they failed? We can take account of the Champions Trophy; Rubel did wonderful over there. But yes, pacers could not fulfill the level of expectations. We, definitely, worked less with swing and accuracy of fast bowlers. Now I want to do that.”
