Mustafizur was the first fast bowler picked in the IPL auction. His base price was 1 crore rupees. was first targeted by Delhi Daredevils. Mumbai Indians then joined the battle. Although it took a while to find a bidder for Fizz, these two franchises took his bid to 2 crore soon.
Mumbai reached at 2.2 crore rupees ($ 346060). Delhi didn’t go any further neither any other franchise. Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t use right-to-match card on him. Mustafizur was finally sold to Mumbai.
Mustafizur was the second Bangladeshi picked in this year’s auction. Shakib Al Hasan was earlier sold to Fizz’s former team Sunrisers Hyderabad at 2 crore rupees.
