Lungisani True-man Ngidi, abbreviated as Lungi Ngidi is already lightening hard upon world batsmen with his thunderbolts of pace and bounce at an age of just 21, struck the hit zone in the social media after the Indian Premier League auction, 2018.
Albeit the monetary term that Chennai Super Kings spent to purchase the rising South African pacer is not so great, the fans of the franchise have already been loving what is going around with Lungi Ngidi.
A name goes in line with the traditionally famous men’s wear in the subcontinent called ‘Lungi’, the Durban borne Lungi Ngidi poked it all by himself tweeting, “Just listened to the #LungiDance song loving it already,” wrote Ngidi on Twitter.
The Lungi Dance song is a hit track from superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s 2013 blockbuster Chennai Express.
Thillalangadi means the naughty one. Ngidi, who was handed his Test debut in the second match of the tri-series against India after Dale Steyn got injured, took nine wickets in two matches.
Ngidi scaled 6 wickets in the second Test among which there was the wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
“The moment for me I think was the captain’s wicket. That was a very special moment and I felt that I had worked hard and sort of figured out a game plan of bowling towards him. So finally getting that really did mean a lot to me,” Ngidi had said.
