‘It’s no big deal if no one take me in IPL auction,’ says Shakib

Not showing any disappointment in this regard, Shakib Al Hasan said, “In fact there is nothing to feel bad about this. My name will be in auction. If someone will take me in the team, well, praise be to Almighty. And it is no big deal if I wouldn’t be taken at all.”

The ace Bangladesh all-rounder also find the Tri-nation series a good opportunity for Bangladesh and said the home country has a fine scope to do well here.

“Yes, we think we have a great possibility here. In fact both teams are well balanced and have knowledges about the condition in Bangladesh. I think the tournament will be competitive,” he said.

Shakib, as the first Bangladeshi to represent MCC World Cricket Committee, is going to fly for Sydney in the coming week to attend the first meeting of the year.

Did not hiding the excitement, Shakib said it is a great honor for him to represent Bangladesh in such a global committee of cricket.

Feeling the responsibility as well, Shakib said, “Yes, in previous meetings, there were no one from Bangladesh. They could not come to know the sort of our troubles in cricket. A sound responsibility has come upon me now in this regard.”
