Mizanur equals Tamim’s three hundreds in a row record

In country’s first class cricket, no player has scored 4 hundreds in a row yet. Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has scored three. In the ongoing NCL after scoring three hundreds in a row, Rajshahi Division’s player Mizanur Rahman now shares the record with Tamim.


After scoring three 100s in a row, Mizanur was on his way to score the fourth one and crease history. He left the crease yesterday with unbeaten 49 runs. Then after the start of day’s play, he reached half-century and then was waiting for the milestone to achieve.

But it didn’t happen in the end as he had to walk back towards the dressing room after getting dismissed for 64 runs. He scored fifty in 82 balls.

In the 39th over of the innings, he got dismissed caught and bowled by Mosharraf Hossain Rubel and he couldn’t achieve the milestone of scoring four hundreds in a row.

In first class cricketer, legendary batsman Sir Don Bradman has 6 hundreds in a row. He achieved this feat in 1938-39 season. But the first one to achieve this milestone was C.B. Fry.  On the other hand, Brian Lara, Mike Hussey, Parthiv Patel and Kumar Sangakarra has scored five hundreds in a row in first class cricket.
