Mustafizur is truly a world class bowler: Cremer

After a dominating performance against Zimbabwe in the first match of the tri-nation series, the highlight of the day was Mustafizur Rahman’s bowling who showed a glimpse of his old days and looked like he is getting back to his rhythm. [নিউজটি বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ মুস্তাফিজের প্রশংসায় ক্রিমার]

None of the Zimbabwe batsman could pick him up his cutters and struggled throughout his 10 overs. He bowled 10 overs and among them 41 were dots including 2 wickets. Zimbabwe skipper Graeme Cremer rightly so praised Mustafizur in the press conference after the match.

He said: “Mustafizur bowled brilliantly today. He made our batsmen suffer. Our batsmen fell in pressure as they were struggling to score runs against him. Its really tough to play the slower balls of Mustafiz. We know that he is trying to get back to his rhythm after coming back from inury. He is truly a world class bowler.”

Cremer about the defeat: “Definitely not enough runs on the board. We didn’t mind batting first, but we needed 240. Raza was decent, so was PJ. The lack of ODI’s have hurt us a little, but we do have some experienced players. Guess it never helps when you don’t play enough. Sometimes it’s too late to learn in a short tournament like this.”

He added: “We are going to Dubai after this series, and then the World Cup Qualifiers at home. This is what we are looking ahead at. For the next game, we’ll look to get to 40-45 in the first ten overs and then see where we go from there. We’ll be better in the next game.”

Zimbabwe will play their second match against Sri Lanka on 17th January at the Mirpur Shere-e-Bangla National stadium.
