For a month long tour, Sri Lanka national cricket team has arrived Bangladesh on Saturday. Two days from now on, the tri-nation series consists of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and host Bangladesh. After that, the island nation will feature in a two match Test series and two match T20I series.
The aircraft carrying the Sri Lankan team landed at the Shahjalal International Airport on 11.55 a.m. Former Bangladeshi head coach Chandika Hathurusingha is accompanying the team with his new responsibility in Sri Lanka.
In the tri-nation series, Sri Lanka will step into the field on 17th of January against Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh will encounter Sri Lanka in 19th of January. The second match of Sri Lanka in the tri-nation will be against Zimbabwe on 21st of January.
The tri-nation series will come to an end with the final on 27th of this month.
Sri Lanka will go to Chittagong on 28th of January where the first Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will begin on January 31.
The second and last Test will begin on February 8 while the first T20I match of the series is scheduled to start on 15th of February.
On 18th of February, the second and last T20I match will take place in Sylhet.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe team also arrived in Bangladesh on January 12 after postponing the arrival twice.
