We learnt how bad we can perform: Mashrafe

A flying Bangladesh team has been gunned down to the ground by a cornered Sri Lanka; although the hosts rushed to the final of the tri-nation series just after the first two matches, the defeat became heavy and embarrassing for the Tigers at home.

No opportunity to think about Hathuru: Mashrafe

After the quick fire end of the last group match of the Rocket tri-nation series, Bangladesh limited over skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza groaned the way which the team lost is definitely unexpected.

“Sri Lanka can defeat us, we know, losing against them is no less than a fair possibility. But it is beyond imagination that we lost a match like this. We have been disgustingly defeated, it is not imaginable,” Mashrafe said.

Bangladesh skipper reckoned the team should consider the match as a learning curve; “We won three matches successively and here we performed worst. There is no positivity in here. But we learned how awful we can be in a bad day. In future, we will definitely work out the way to handle everything in case of hasty wicket falling.”

And Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is not blaming the wicket condition behind the landslide of wickets.

“Everyone said wicket was not that bad. I also think so, I’m not shoveling the pitch condition here. Actually we could not bat the way we should after losing four quick wickets. We did not bat according to the condition. We should have taken much time,” said Mashrafe.
