The left handed batsman who became the first Bangladeshi ever to score hundreds in both the innings of a Test match was at 39 in the rankings before that. After scoring the two hundreds, he is now at 27 with 625 ratings points.
Apart from Mominul, the stand-in captain Mahmudullah Riyad has also got a new position in the rankings. From 52nd position, he is now at 48 after the first Test match.
On the other hand, despite of scoring 92 runs in the first innings Mushfiqur Rahim’s position didn’t change but he is still on top than Mominul as he is at 26th position. The 21st batsman is the rankings is opener Tamim Iqbal and the 22nd is Shakib Al Hasan who is ruled of the Test series due to finger injury,
But Shakib is still the number one all-rounder in the Test rankings with 428 rating points. India’s Ravindra Jadeja is in 2nd position with 390 points and in the third position there is another Indian Ravi Ashwin who has 367 ratings points.
