Ahead of the second and final Test against Sri Lanka in Dhaka, the Bangladesh team management have included Sabbir Rahman in the 15-man squad. Sabbir was dropped from first Test’s squad after performing poor in the recently concluded tri-nation series.
But Mosaddek Hossain who played in the Chittagong Test in place of Sabbir, couldn’t do well neither with the bat nor ball. So there is question whether he would get another chance or Sabbir would replace him.
However, Khaled Mahmud Sujon has said, nothing is final and everything will depend on wicket condition. “There is no question of finalizing the playing XI before seeing the wicket. I have to see the wicket first. I’ll get an idea once I see wicket and then we will make our game plan as well as team combination,” said Sujon.
Meanwhile, chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu has said that they are trying to find out the mistakes they made in the first Test, “We are to trying find out the weakness very deeply. We will try our best to fulfil the lacking areas.”
Talking Sabbir and Mosaddek he said they didn’t make any decision. “We haven’t made any final decision regarding number 7 position. Sabbir also has been called to the team,” said Nannu.
