The technique and temperament of a team largely depend upon the way a team is maintained by the coaching staffs. Under the unavoidable circumstances Bangladesh has been running out of a head coach since the sudden departure of Chandika Hathurusingha. Despite the board’s hard trial to select a new coach, anything is yet to be decided.
Bangladesh went through two series and one more to come a day after, under the care taking of senior cricketers and technical director Khaled Mahmud Shujon. Yet Bangladesh Cricket Board might take elongated time to appoint a new coach.
BCB Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus said, “We have been trying in different sectors but it takes time to find out the type of coach we need. Actually, we don’t want to come to an abrupt decision. A list of alternatives is here for us. But the trouble shoots for we think the listed persons could not cope with Bangladesh team, we cannot be sure in this regard.”
Jalal Yunus also said there are in fact no probabilities to settle with a new head coach before the forthcoming series of Bangladesh.
“Time is very short; there is no hope of appointing a new coach before the Nidahas Trophy,” he said.
