Shakib hopeful of youngsters

Bangladesh Test and T20I captain Shakib Al Hasan says he is hopeful of newly included youngsters in the team for the forthcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka. Shakib, being thrown out of the T20I series for lingering finger injury, is looking forward to the team to bring a positive result after frustrating ends both in the tri-nation series and the Test series against Sri Lanka later on.

“I’m very much hopeful about our team; they have the ability to perform well. Every one of them is good cricketer. Especially who joined in the team now. All of them performed wonderfully well in the just completed Bangladesh Premier League,” Shakib Al Hasan said.

“They have nothing to prove anew because they have been selected in the team for their performance. I want all the youngsters to start their international career freely so that they will be able to deliver something positive for the team,” he said.

Tamim Iqbal Khan will lead Bangladesh in the first T20I match of the series against Sri Lanka scheduled to occur at 15th of this month at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
