‘We will work out special plans for Mominul in next Test’ says Chandimal

Mominul Haque celebrated his comeback in the national team in grand way. In Chittagong, the little dynamo recorded the record of becoming the first Bangladeshi batsman to score centuries in both innings of a Test match.

Twisting the pace, bounce and spin tricks of the opposition, the left hander cruised to 176 runs in the first innings. The second one was even better in temperament and skills; under enormous pressure, Mominul reached in his second consecutive Test ton.

The 105 run innings eventually saved Bangladesh from an embarrassing defeat at the end.

Ahead of the second and last Test match in Dhaka that will start within a day, the opposition skipper Dinesh Chandimal revealed they have separate plans for Mominul Haque in the forthcoming Test match.

“He played incredibly well in Chittagong. He is such a good temperament for Test cricket. It is never been easy to score hundreds in both innings of a match,” Chandimal appreciated.

“For him, we have made some special plans. Hope our bowlers will be able to implement those well,” he added.

Mominul Haque scored three centuries in last six innings played against Sri Lanka. In the previous last innings against Sri Lanka, Mominul scored a 100.
