No one presumed the way Bangladesh batted against Sri Lanka in the last match; the win for the Tigers, however, opened the equation for Nidahas Trophy, 2018. With one win for each team, Bangladesh have affluent opportunities to go through the final of the tournament.
Indian national team pacer Jaydev Unadkat widely appreciated Bangladesh’s recovery against Sri Lanka among a persistent loss of form in last several months.
While talking in the press briefing before their match against Sri Lanka, Unadkat said, “We witnessed an incredible run chase. Chasing 214 runs in this format against any team is a marvelous achievement. Bangladesh did tremendously well under pressure.”
“I think they could implement their plan well in the field. They worked out the way Sri Lankan bowlers bowl and the result was an outcome of that,” he said further.
“Players are more excited now because the competition is opened up a lot,” Unadkat said.
Two days from now, on 14 March, Bangladesh is scheduled to face India for the second time in the tournament at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
