By the time the whole Bangladesh squad sprinted towards the center wicket to encircle hero of the match Mushfiqur Rahim capitulating his hands over the head, denoting the ‘Cobra Dance’, ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan sat in front of the television set in Sydney, a thousand miles apart from Colombo.
Missing out greatly all the sweet moments in the field, Shakib grieved not to be there with the mates but congratulated all.
“Hearty congratulations to my team for this record chased win and all the best wishes for the matches to come. I’m badly missing celebrating together in the field. However, the tremendous win will usher big inspiration in the days to come,” Shakib Al Hasan said.
The win chasing 214 runs, is the highest successful chase by any subcontinent team.
