Team India who are yet to play a pink ball Test match were supposed to play their first day-night Test match later this year against Australia but now it seems as though the Board Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is not open to the idea. India are scheduled to play a four-match Test series against Australia.
However, the Cricket Australia (CA) still hopeful that the first match of the Test series will be a pink-ball, day-night game as the CA chief executive James Sutherland said he was still negotiating with India.
“It is our preference that we play India in a day-night Test match in Adelaide, but we are still working through this detail and hope to have an answer on this in the coming weeks,” he was quoted as saying in ESPNcricinfo’s report.
Earlier, it had been reported that India coach Ravi Shastri was fully supportive to play Test match under flood light but h does not have support of the players. So it can be said, BCCI is not interested for that reason.
