Tamim, after playing the final of the Nidahas Trophy went straight to Pakistan to play for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) but he only managed to play only one match after that and he also couldn’t feature in the final.
Tamim informed his rehabilitation program has started and he is confident that he will recover in time.
“It’s been four days since my rehabilitation program started. If I can complete the rehabilitation thoroughly, then there is chance of healing it completely. It is important to complete the rehab program because there will be non-stop cricket when we resume our international duty. I am confident that there will be sufficient time to recover before the series against Afghanistan.” Tamim said.
“My rehab program will be completed by May 7 or 8, while we are expected to begin our camp from May 10-12 and hopefully, it will be enough to get [myself] prepared,” he added.
Bangladesh are expected to play a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in Dehradun in India in June. As per reports, BCB have agreed in principle to play Afghanistan in India, although the schedule for the series is still being discussed.
