Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have attained a lot of attention in this year’s IPL. Rashid is in Sunrisers Hyderabad where Bangladesh T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan is also there.
“Their (Afghanistan) bowlers are playing IPL, not batsmen. It will be wrong to think that our batsmen will hit them like Virat Kohli or AB de Villiers. We know their vulnerabilities as we have played against them. Our task will be to find their strengths and weaknesses,” said Mosaddek.
The youngster also stated that the Tigers need to focus on their game by not thinking about the opposition.
“They have two good spinners in the side and they have been very successful. If you want you can say a lot of things about them,” he said. “But if we premeditate that we are going to attack them and score a lot of runs against them, it will be wrong and if we think of playing defensive cricket against them it will also be wrong. So it’s better not to think about them and focus on our own game and keep the belief in our strengths.”
Mosaddek also believes that cricket is played on the field, not with words. “It would have been good if cricket is played with words, cricket is played only in the field,” he said.
Bangladesh will play three T20Is against Afghanistan on June 3, 5 and 7.
