Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has been the talk of the town for over a long period. His performances in international cricket and in T20 leagues like Big Bash and IPL has certainly made him one of the toughest bowlers to face.
Bangladesh will have a big challenge to face Rashid in the upcoming T20I series in Dehradun. Although he is not unknown to Bangladeshis at all.
Tamim Iqbal has captained him at Cumilla Victorians in BPL last year. Shakib Al Hasan is currently Rashid’s teammate at Sunrisers Hyderabad squad. And that’s why Tamim is not worried about the Afghan leggie.
“His quick-arm action is very tough for batsmen,” said Tamim. “Another thing to mention, he wasn’t that accurate six months before. Now has improved on it. He’s very accurate and he is getting successes. He has troubled many world-class batsmen. But it’s not like that he is totally unplayable. If we can back our strengths, why not!”
Tamim has urged not to concentrate only on Rashid but also other Afghans..
“It doesn’t mean that we have to think about one player because there are more good cricketers in their team. It’s a negative mindset to concentrate on only one guy. No doubt that he is the best T20 bowler at the moment. But as we have won a lot of challenges like this, I hope it will be the same this time too.

“If you overthink about something then the things you know also gets wrong. So, it will be better for us if we think about ourselves and not worrying about Rashid,” he added.
