Bangladesh women cricket team continue their winning streak as they registered their third consecutive victory against Thailand, on Thursday. They thrashed Thailand women by nine wickets.
Winning the toss at Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Bangladesh skipper Salma Khatun invited Thailand to bat first. Salma proved her decision right in the second over of the match as Thailand lost their first wicket scoring only three runs. They lost another wicket when they were on 6 as Jahanara Alam picked up the wicket of opener Naruemol Chaiwai. Afterwards Thailand kept losing wicket on a regular basis. One-down batsman Nattaya Boochatham was the top scorer forThailand with 21-ball 15. Thai women could only muster 60 runs in 20 overs losing wickets.
In reply, Bangladesh women chased down the target very comfortably as they went to victory by 9 wickets with 8.5 overs in hand. Although opener Shamima went back to the pavilion after scoring only 8, Nigar Sultana and Ayesha Rahman remained unbeaten scoring 25.
