Pakistan all-rounder Haris Sohail attained a unique record on Monday bountied 3 wickets in a single over spell in the pink ball Test against Sri Lanka in Dubai.
In the 26th over of the Sri Lanka’s second innings, Haris protrude through the rest of the islander’s batsmen, claiming 3 by conceding a single run in that over.
Sri Lanka already struggled to 95 for 7, became bundled out scoring 96 runs eventually in their second innings.
28 year old Haris got the wicket of Rangana Herath in the first ball of the over, he picked up his second wicket in the fourth delivery of the over. In between these, Haris conceded a single run.
In the last delivery of the over, he took the wicket of Fernando.
The bowling figure of 1-0-1-3 is the best bowling figure by any bowler in Test cricket in a single over.
The previous record was hold by Ramnaresh Sarwan of West Indies. He got the bowling figure of 1-0-1-2 in Bridgetown Test against India in 2002.
