Live: India vs Hong Kong, Match 4, Asia Cup 2018
Hong Kong won the toss and elected to bowl first at Dubai International Stadium in the fourth game of Unimoni Asia Cup 2018.
The group stage games of Asia Cup 2018 has came to the half stage after the completion of three games. Hong Kong will come in to the match in a nothing to loose situation as their skipper Anshuman Rath said after their loss against Pakistan in their opening game.
Simultaneously the opponents will look to have a good nick in the opening game itself as they are one of the favorites to win the same time. The defending champions of the tournament comes without their skipper Virat Kohli who is been given a rest for his workloads and fitness concerns. Even though the men in blue lost their last ODI series they will come as a much stronger side with some faces making a comeback in to the side.
For Hong Kong they will seek to have another match practice against a top nation like in their previous encounter with Pakistan. In the bowling side their bowlers have shown some glimpses against Pakistan in defending a very low score. After a day off, Hong Kong might play with the same XI that brought victory for them in the tournament proper.
On the Indian side they will have KL Rahul in place of their skipper Virat Kohli. Four middle order batsmen Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik and Kedhar Jadhav are competing for two spots left in the batting line-up. Kedhar Jadhav might get a game as he is the sixth bowling option for the team. There is a chance for both Ambati Rayudu and Manish Pandey to get a game if the opener Shikhar Dhawan is rested.
