11 runs and 3 wickets: Mahmudullah Riyad in CPL 2017

Mahmudullah Riyad while bating in CPLThe Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2017 is yet to pull off the curtain but the mission of Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad has come to an end. His team Jamaica Tallawahs had been eliminated by Guyana Amazon Warriors on Thursday.

Mahmudullah Riyad joined this years’ Caribbean Premier League after being discarded from the national team squad for the two Test series against Australia which Bangladesh leveled 1-1.

He played five matches of CPL without any notable performance in any of them. With the bat in hand, Mahmudullah scored a total of 11 runs and captured 3 wickets.

In his debut match of the Caribbean Premier League, Mahmudullah Riyad scored unbeaten one run, he did not get the opportunity to ball in that match.

In the second match, he scored 6 runs all together and did not deliver later on with the ball.

In the third match, he did get the chance to bat but bowled 4 overs conceding 18 runs.

In the fourth match, he scored one run and bowled 3 overs to concede 38 runs. In the eliminator match, Mahmudullah contributed 3 runs with the bat and claimed 3 important wickets of Guyana Amazon Warriors. 1 of 1
