2nd ODI washed out between Bangladesh & Afghanistan Under-19

The 2nd ODI between Bangladesh Under-19 and Afghanistan Under-19 washed out due to rain. Before the rain arrive at Sylhet International Stadium Afghan captain Naveen Ul Haq won the toss and put Bangladesh Under-19 to bat first. 

Bangladesh batsmen struggled from the beginning and they were losing wickets in quick succession. The match reduced to 45 overs due to rain, but it still couldn’t end the Bangladesh’s innings as rain came once again in the 43rd over. Bangladesh were 182 for 9 at that moment. After the continuous rain, the match was forced to get abandoned.

The highest run getters for Bangladesh were Mohammad Rakib and Islam Ankan who scored 46 & 44 runs respectively. On the other side, Yusuf got 4 wickets and Mujib Shikar got 3 wickets for Afghaistan.

In this match, Yasin Arafat made his debut for the Bangladesh Under-19. Bangladesh are now leading 1-0 in the 5 match ODI series with 3 more matches to go. The remaining 3 ODIs will take place on 2,4 and 6th October. 1 of 1
