Ashraful starts NCL’s first day with a hundred

After 3 years ban, Mohammad Ashraful made his way back to Cricket and played in the National Cricket League (NCL) but couldn’t perform well and he was even dropped from the team. 

The right hand batsman who is representing Dhaka Metropolis in the 19th edition of NCL started with a bang this time. Dhaka Metropolis’ NCL journey started against Chittagong Division on friday. 

After winning the toss & electing to bat first, Dhaka were struggling at 69 for 3. Then Mohammad Ashraful made a crucial partnership with Mehrab Hossain Jnr of 174 runs and ended up scoring a well deserved hundred.

His knock of 104 runs from 194 runs included 12 fours & 2 sixes. On the other side, Mehrab Hossain Jnr is still not out for 65 runs from 210 balls. 

Dhaka Metropolis ended the first day with 257-5 on the board against Chittagong Divison. Shakhawat Hossain picked up 2 wickets including the wicket of Mohammad Ashraful. Mehedi Hasan Rana also picked up 2 wickets to make the day even on the first day of NCL. 1 of 1
