Bangladesh A reach Sylhet for four-dayer

Bangladesh A team members have reached Sylhet to take on Ireland A side in a four-day clash which starts this week.

Ireland A landed in Bangladesh to play one four-day game and five one-dayers. The visitors have already started their preparations on Sunday. The unofficial Test will begin on October 11 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh A practiced at the BCB academy ground in Mirpur on Saturday. They are on a break on after reaching Sylhet. The 13-member squad will start their practice from Monday.

The A team is getting a match to play after almost two years. In 2015, Nasir Hossain-led team toured India. Bangladesh A also toured Zimbabwe and Soith Africa in the same year.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad last week which includes players who are left out of the team and as well as domestic performers. U-19 captain Saif Hassan and all-rounder Nayeem Hasan were also named in the squad. They were in Sylhet during Youth ODI series against Afghanistan.

The two teams will take on each other in five one-dayers in Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium and it’s academy ground in Cox’s Bazar.

Bangladesh A squad for unofficial Test: Nazmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Saif Hassan, Shadman Islam, Al-Amin, Zakir Hasan, Yasir Ali Rabbi, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sunzamul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Ebadat Hossain, Abu Hider Rony, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Jubair Hossain.
