Bangladesh ended the day scoring 7 without loss in their second innings after the visitors were forced to follow on.

Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon criticized Mushfiqur’s decision of bowling first in the second Test.

Terming the skipper’s decision to bat as ‘unjustified’, Nazmul Hasan said, “There is no justification not to decide for bat first in this kind of wicket. No one can provide a logic behind this except skipper Mushfiqur Rahim. But I haven’t told him anything as it is in the middle of the match; he might get more nervous.”

The board president also informed he tried to bring Shakib Al Hasan back in the second Test.

“I could have make him play in the second Test if I came to know the news of Tamim Iqbal’s absence earlier. When I was informed about Tamim’s injury, it was the day before yesterday and became too late to send Shakib Al Hasan there,” he said.

For the forthcoming one day international and T20I series, skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin left Dhaka on Sunday. 1 of 1
