“I thought the wicket was really good but we couldn’t bowl according to how it behaved,” he said.
Mashrafe said all that the team needed is to learn to bowl defensively, “We need to learn to bowl defensively and need to be more penetrative. Tests and ODIs are very different. If we can stop runs from both ends the wickets would come,” he said.
Appreciating the lively ton from Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, Mashrafe said, “Mushy batted really well. I thought the wicket was really good but we couldn’t bowl according to how it behaved. Once Tamim wasn’t fit, we thought that one of the seniors needed to come up the order and that is why Shakib was promoted. Mustafizur was injured as well and that’s why went bowling heavy.”
Mashrafe also hoped Tamim Iqbal will be fit for the next match of the series. 1 of 1
