Bangladesh U-19 are having a time of their life in the Youth Asia Cup as they have now won 3 in a row and are at the top of the table.
After beating Nepal and Malaysia U-19, they have now beat defending champions India U-19 in a handsome fashion.
The match was reduced to 32 overs due to rain. India batted first and the opners couldn’t stay at the crease for long. Except Anuj and Salman Khan, none could contribute much.
India U-19 posted 187 in 32 overs losing 8 wickets. Robiul picked up 3 wickets while Afif and Nayeem picked up 2 wickets each.
It was a pretty good target set by the India U-19 but when the young Tigers came to bat, they turned it to a one sided match. Both the openers Pinak Ghosh and Naim Sheikh who are in amazing form built a good partnership.
Pinak scored unbeaten 81 runs from 77 balls, Sheikh in the other side scored 38 from 44. In the end, Hridoy’s aggressive 48 runs from 32 balls made it more easy for Bangladesh U-19 to chase down the score.
