I want to increase my strike rate: Mominul

After losing the first two matches of the tournament, Rajshahi Kings have opened their account and got their first win. Opener Mominul Haque had a big contribution as he was unbeaten till the end to secure win a comfortable win by 8 wickets.

Momimul scored 63 from 44 balls including 3 fours and 4 sixes and he also became the first local player to score fifty in the tournament.

The left hand batsman told reporters after the match: “If you bat even at 9 and score runs, you will enjoy. I enjoy when I score runs.”

He also told that along with scoring runs, he wants to increase his strike rate too: “I batted well in the last BPL too by my strike rate wasn’t good. If I play like the last season, then it will mean that I haven’t Improved. I will try to play big innings with better strike rate.”

He added: “While chasing, if I can stay at the crease till the end will be better rather than scoring 40-50 and get out. If you can finish the match, you can learn many things.” 1 of 1
