Training camp for U-19 World Cup to begin on 1st December

The U-19 World Cup will begin on 13th January next year in New Zealand. Most of the teams have already started their practice sessions and Bangladesh U-19 will begin theirs on 1st December.

The training camp will begin on 1st December and it will continue till 17 December. Fitness training will happen in the first week of the training camp. Then in the second well practice will be held in the centre week and three practice matches will held in the last week.

BCB’s National Games and Development manager AM Kawser told Banglanews: “We will begin our camp on 1st December at Mirpur. Three one day practice matches will be held in the last week of the camp. The boys will play these games against an Invitation XI. The Invitation XI will consist of HP players and the players in Premier Division who are performing well.”

He added: “As the tour will be of 42 days, they will be given three days holiday to spend some time with their family. Then our team will fly to New Zealand on 26 December.”

Few U-19 players are playing in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The players don’t have to leave the tournament for the training camp. They will join after the end of BPL which is on 12 December.  1 of 1
