Victorians outclass Titans Comilla Victorians’ bowlers ensured the emphatic victory over Khulna Titans in the first innings of the match bundling the table toppers in 111 runs when they opted to bat first after winning the toss. The target was overcame by Comilla Victorians in 13.5 overs losing a single wicket.

Two openers of Comilla Victorians Tamim Iqbal and Litton Kumar Das made it a matter of time to overshadow the run scored by the Titans. Together they formed 64 run opening partnership.

When Litton Kumar Das departed in the second ball of the eighth over scoring 21 off 20 balls with 4 shots of fours, the Victorians were quite close to the winning target.

Imrul Kayes joined with unbeaten opener Tamim Iqbal, got 22 in the board but the Victorians’ icon and captain Tamim who did the bulk for the team taking them to the second position in the point table with 12 points in 8 matches.

Tamim scored his half century and was not out in 64 runs playing 42 deliveries with 12 strikes to the boundary.

Earlier Shoaib Malik and Mehedi Hasan started the downfall of Khulna Titans’ batting line up. They picked up wickets alternately as the Titans found no clue to score runs.

Six of their batsmen failed to reach the double figure mark. Ariful Haque and Carlos Brathwaite’s effort took Khulna Titans to cross the hundred run mark in their innings.

Ariful was the highest scorer for his run a ball 24 runs. The late middle order line up was curtailed by Al-Amin Hossain who also grabbed 3 wickets like Shoaib Malik.
