Chris Gayle single handedly knocked down last season’s champion Dhaka Dynamites to hand Rangpur Riders’ its’ maiden BPL title in the fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League.
The absolute destruction by the West Indian opener edged him all the prestigious rewards in the final presentation of BPL 2017.
Gayle, being the highest scorer of the tournament, grabbed the man of the tournament trophy. Playing 11 matches, the West Indian giant hit 485 runs with an average of 53.88 and strike rate of 176.36.
His 146 runs in the final against Dhaka Dynamites is the highest individual score by any batsmen in a final of T20 league.
Gayle smashed two centuries and equal number of half centuries in this year’s BPL.
