Taskin Ahmed said on Saturday that the tail-enders are trying to play big shots on bad balls.

“We are enjoying this (batting practice). To be honest, bowlers have to play a role in most of the close matches. In that case, bowlers of other countries are very improved with the bat. I won’t say that we are not improved. We also have improved from the past; but our bowlers have to improve a lot.

“If we can score 15-20 runs at the end then it’s good for the team. This will also boost our chances of winnings matches,” he said.

The pacer further said, “Actually we are doing positive batting practice. We are giving punishment to bad balls by not doing something out of the ordinary. We are playing with straight bat. Overall we are progressing well. I hope all of our bowlers will bat better.

The Tigers’ bowlers are also bowling in the nets in Khaled Mahmud’s class. Taskin said that the bowlers are working with basics.

“We were working with skills, mainly fixing the seam position. Not many things, just working with strengths, out-swing, in-swing, cutters. We are working with basics. Sujon sir was practicing us to strengthen our good points,” he added.
