2018: Mushfiqur, Miraz lead Bangladesh’s charts
2018 has been a year of ups and downs for Bangladesh cricket. However, this is their most successful year as they picked out 21 victories out of 44 international matches which surpassed 2006’s 19 wins.
Bangladesh registered three Test wins, five T20I wins and turned victorious 13 times out for 20 in their favourite format ODI cricket. There were some memorable individual performances as well this year.
Mushfiqur Rahim is the leading run-scorer for Bangladesh in international cricket this year with 1657 runs. He now holds the record for most runs by a Bangladeshi in a calendar year, crossing Tamim Iqbal’s 1646 in 2010.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz is the leading bowler for Bangladesh in 2018 with 61 wickets across formats. Although he had a slim run in T20Is he dominated in Tests and ODIs. Taijul Islam only played seven Tests for his 43 wickets. He got himself among top-five bowlers list by playing just one format.
