After spending 7 years with KKR, Shakib has now got a new team in IPL. He will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eleventh edition of the IPL. Shakib’s base price was 1 crore and the team bought him for 2 crore in the auction today.
Pacer Mustafizur Rahman also played in the Sunrisers Hyderabad in his first IPL season and also became the champion. The head coach of Hyderabad is Tom Moody who was the coach of Rangpur Riders and also the winning coach of the latest Bangladesh Premir League (BPL)
The coach is delighted to get the number one all-rounder in the team. He said: “Shakib is a world class cricketer. He has the ability to turn the match around in any situation. Though he is good with the bat, but he doesn’t get enough importance as a batsman. I am very happy to get him in my team.”
On the other hand, Mustafizur has been bought by defending champions Mumbai India for 2.2 crore and the rest of the Bangladeshi players are yet to be called in the auction which will be held tomorrow.
