Bangladesh limited over captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza hurt his hand during the practice session at the Mirpur Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Batsmen generally do net sessions in the two central wickets of Mirpur between which one is set with a bowling machine and bowlers deliver in the other.
34 year old Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was bowling to one of the hard hitters Sabbir Rahman who drove the ball straight towards the bowler; Mashrafe attempted to stop the ball, eventually ached his hand.
The nature of the injury is yet to be known. Last year, Mashrafe suffered a fractured finger in a similar incident in the last T20I match against New Zealand when he tried to check the ball from Corey Anderson.
The tri-nation series consists of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and host Bangladesh will be started from 15th of January with the match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh will also play a two match Test series and two match T20I series against Sri Lanka after completion of the tri-nation series.
